Close shave, irritates skin

I have a pretty thick beard with a goatee.

I have been switching back and forth between blades for many years.

I would have been happy keeping my Norelco rotary that I got back in the early 80s but after a while the replacement rotary blades were too hard to find. The newer Norelco razors were 'lift and cut' (read pull and hack) so those were out.

I had begun experimenting with foils recently but found they were not giving a close shave and missed hairs frequently causing me to have to go over spots repeatedly.

I tried this Remington with the hope that it would give me the rotary closeness and quickness with out the pull-and-hack of contemporary Norelcos. But alas I found it was no better.

The shave was nice and close, got those hard to get hairs under the chin. But it felt stingy on my neck while shaving and sure enough after a few minutes I had a rash on my neck that lasted for hours. I kept it for a week and a half to see if I could get used to it but the irritation never got better. So I returned it to Walmart.

I went to Target and bought a Remington interface 3612 foil and found it was better. Not as close a shave, but no skin irritation.
