Smooth & Silky Cleaning Syst. Review
Pros:
Convenient, fits nicely in the hand, close shave for a women's shaver.
Cons:
Lack of durability, must avoid underarms, knees, etc.
The Bottom Line:
Ladies, try a men's shaver! No silly comfort strips to fall apart and much easier on the knees and underarms - closer shave too!

Author's Review
I used this shaver for a bit over one month. I loved the idea of a cleaning system since I always forget. But, this shaver has some flaws.
Performance:
This shaver performed much better than I expected, as I have used electric shavers in the past. The motor seems fast but is extremely loud. I only used this shaver in the shower so wet shaves are done well - a little touch-up was required afterward though.
Ergonomics:
This shaver is well shaped. It feels balanced in the hand and I had no problem gripping it when it was wet.
Battery Life:
Didn't experience anything negative here as I always put it back in the stand and engaged the cleaning mode after each use. I was disappointed at the lenghty first time charge.
Cleaning/Charging Stand:
A bit bulky and has a cheap feeling to it. The cleaning cycle is very loud as it turns on the shaver quite a bit. So don't be in the same room when cleaning. I did encounter a problem with the charge light. It indicated that the shaver was never fully charged, even left on the charger for four (4) days!
Durability:
Here's where the negative comes into play. I did not have much luck with durability. The shaver has two soft, silicone like "comfort strips", similar to traditional, more expensive, razors. They are meant to smooth the skin and reduce friction. And they do what they are intended for...... as long as they are in one piece! After using this shaver for one month, the shaver bit into my leg! Upon inspection I found the "comfort strip" on the front edge to be dissentigrating and the rear one was completely detatched, save for a hair size piece hanging on, and falling apart as well.
I also had a problem with the shaver over my knees and around ankles. The trimmers really dug in and ripped, ate the skin up.
Bottom line, I loved the shaver but hated the lack of durability and returned it. The Retailer gladly took it back when the issue was explained. I even e-mailed Remington and got no responce! Save yourself some time and get the Panasonic Pro-Curve Linear Motor Shaver for men. I borrowed my husband's and had never had a closer shave, it rivals my Venus Blades!!!
