RIM BlackBerry Pearl 8130 Cell Phone

I bought this phone a little over three months ago, and so far my experience with it has been mixed, though in ways much more negative than positive. Some days, it works perfectly, and I love it; others, it is extremely quirky, dropping call logs instantly, losing IM conversations as they are occurring, deleting messages suddenly with no warning. Now it is not letting me receive text messages at all. I love the rolling trackball; however, one time, for about a day, it almost completely refused to work. The phone often lags, and don't even think about trying to hit the voice dial button, which is often accidentally hit and takes normally a minimum of 1-3 minutes to load and your phone is out of service for that time. If the battery is low, it turns off radio connection, but does not allow you to reconnect it once it’s charging. There is currently no picture or video text messaging, which I was highly disappointed in, and I am seriously thinking of splurging (I received mine on an upgrade with a discount) on a more established phone with less quirks.

I believe that it has the potential to be a very good phone; however, too many quirks at this time exist for it to currently live up to that potential.
