Skip it!

I usually enjoy watching Gwyneth Paltrow and Anthony Hopkins perform, but Proof is the exception. From beginning to end this movie directed by John Madden (Shakespeare in Love) Proof (2005) is a muddled mess. The premise of the movie was sound, but the execution left little to be desired or enjoyed.

Proof has a nasty habit of sporadically jumping from present to past and back again with little or no preamble; the result was a severely disjointed movie that was hard to follow. Add to this the constant screaming by a Paltrow who always seemed on the edge or reason; it all got very tiring after a while. And then there was the ending; in two words, it sucked. Skip Proof, the idea was good but the movie is lacking.
