Boil, boil, toil and trouble.....Not!!!!

I received this as a gift from my mother. She has one, too. I am the kind of person who likes hot cocoa and other hot drinks, but HATES to put the water in the microwave...I can't ever seem to get it to the right temperature. Presto kettle to the rescue!!! You can just put the right amount of water in ...enough for just one cup or a whole kettleful. All you do is hold the spout under the water, fill it as far as you want to, and plug it in. It's just that easy! Fill it, plug it in, wait about a minute, and it is ready. You will know it's ready when it whistles. I sometimes leave the room, but am easily able to hear it from a room or two away. I usually let it cool for a minute or two after I pour it into my mug, but that is just my preference. My husband likes to use it right away.

Then, to clean it, all that I do is rinse it out with some more water, set it on the counter upside down to drain and dry, then stash it in the cupboard. This is easily the simplest appliance to use (and clean!) that I own.

I've owned this since college (6 years ago) and it performs just as well today as it did brand new. It was a godsend when I did not have access to a microwave...I used it quite often to make macaroni and cheese in college the year I did not have access to a kitchen or microwave to heat water. I have dropped it quite a few times on hard wood floors, and it hasn't dented, cracked, chipped, or split. It seems to be extremely durable.
