Practical magic it was not...

The Bottom Line: Faint background involving magic..Nice story of two sisters who grew apart then lived with one another in their 40s. Also helped each other out with their families.

Could've been better

The Bottom Line: I wouldn't recommed this book to anyone other than an Alice Hoffman fan. This book really didn't do it for me.
Review: For someone with AH's writing style, this is how I feel about this book. It really could've been better, although it was not painfully difficult to read. I will agree with the reviews that said that they "don't understand how the movie ever came...

Review: The book Practical Magic takes you places the movie could not go. It absolutely should be read before seeing the movie since it will compliment the performances of Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman. You can actually get into these characters heads...
