A Reliable, Vibrant pen that lets your personality come through!

Being a self-proclaimed pen snob, I have had my share of pens over the years. And being kind of funky and wanting to be differently, I am constantly looking for a new fun colored pen that actually works! Most gel type pens work for the first few times, but seem to peter out or clog up. I have a whole drawer full of the writing utensils. And call me odd but I don’t like to use the same color all the time.

That is until, I found the Pilot G2 gel pens. They come in a vast variety of colors including the standard blue and black. But more extravagant colors such as purple, pink, green, lime green, red, orange, light blue, turquoise, navy, and even brown!

The pens are check safe, archival and acid free, available in Ultra Fine, Extra Fine, Fine and Bold points. They also have a rubber bottom for comfort in writing, and a clip. The pens are retractable so need to find lost caps. They write smooth and do not smudge.


They are by far one of the best pens I have used in a long time, and with my job I do a lot of writing and like my pens to flow with ease and be ready to go at all times. The ink flows right every time with no hesitation like other pens. They are reliable and last quite a long time. I get mileage out of my pens, and I have used all the colors, yes I’m also a pen addict. Here are my thoughts on all the colors.

Black: Standard black ink
Blue: Standard blue ink
Purple: A fun dark purple, I’ve used it on checks with no problem.
Pink: A vibrant fuchsia that can also be used on checks.
Green: A dark Kelly green
Lime Green: A little on the lighter side and hard to see on white paper
Red: perfect for teachers, got to love the red correction marks!
Orange: A dark pumpkin like orange hue
Light Blue: Light but dark enough to be seen on white paper, almost a robin’s egg hue.
Turquoise: A beautiful dark color, good on checks.
Navy: A darker blue almost closer to black.
Brown: an odd color for a pen, but writes nice and dark. I’ll let you use your imagination what’s its comparable to.

The pens retail for about $1.95 each, or come in four packs (either assorted or single colors) for $7.95. And there is also, an assorted eight pack for about 15 dollars. The full sized version is about six inches long while the mini is a mere three.
