A BOOKTHAT I WOULD READ MORE THAN ONCE

As with all of Barbara Kingsolver's books, "Pigs In Heaven" is a warmhearted, interesting book which made me forget my own slice of the world just for a little while. It is a story of love and courage and family; about a lost girl, a woman who becomes her mother, and the struggle which they go through to stay together.

Before reading this book, be aware that it is the sequel to Barbara Kingsolver's "The Bean Trees" (also highly recommended). However, you can read "Pigs In Heaven" without having read the other. Both of these books draw us into the lives of wonderful, intricate characters and make us wish that we were part of their lives.

This book also delves into Native America, nature, and spirituality. It is a must-read for anyone interested in these topics or in the generosity and goodness found in life everywhere.
