Direc's DVR Good or Bad?

Well let's start with the fact that this is a Digital Video Record...not a TIVO which is a trademarked device. If you never had a TIVO you will most likely like the little DVR for it's straight forward recording features. You can pick and choose the shows you want to record on booth tuners; go to bed or vacation. Come back and watch what you've recorded when you want to. If that is all you want that is what you get. There are no suggestions like the old TIVO's had. So if you can live without the suggestions and the little blupping sound from the unit the DVR is great. Not to mention it has caller id built in and the DirecTv active button.
All and all it is a nice machine which works the way it was meant to.
