Great camcorder

I bought this camera a little over 2 years ago and I am very happy with it. I've used it under many different lighting conditions - bright sunny days against the desert landscape of Arizona, bright sunny days against snow covered mountains, cloudy days outdoors, indoors during the day as well as night time, under flourescent lights as well as incandescent lights. I've found it's video quality really remarkable in all situations except with low light incandescent bulbs. The picture is sometimes grainy and a little too yellow.

I was using this too shoot my kid learning how to ice-skate. I was sitting outside behind the glass and doing this and I found the autofocus was not able to focus correctly. It kept focussing on the glass in front of me or the wall on the other side of the arena. I tried to use the manual focus at the point but it was very difficult to make it focus exactly somewhere in the middle. The tuning is done by pushing a button one way or the other and I found this much more difficult to use than the focus ring on my SLR camera. So, if I had to go back and buy one again, I would have chosen the PV-GS250 for a couple of hundred more because it has a manual focus ring.
