Stylin' Without Color

Date of Review:  Apr 13, 2001
The Bottom Line: Basically the same unit as the new Palm m505 but with a monochrome screen. Which model you buy will depend on how attached you are to a color screen.
Review: Think Palm Vx revitalized and ready to meet the future and you have the Palm m500. I?ve spent a week with the m500 obtained from retail sources in advance of the release scheduled for later in the month. Virtually everything contained in my m505...

Accessory Manufacturers Are Smiling But I'm Not

Date of Review:  Apr 16, 2001
The Bottom Line: Unless you are a V/Vx owner who loves the form factor but needs more memory, I would avoid the m500 until there is a critical mass of shipping SD devices.
Review: I got the chance to see the m500 recently when Palm came to the Boston PDA User Group. He didn't have the m505, but luckily a different Palm employee who came to the New England Palm User Group a few days later did. I already wrote a review of the...

Finally, an update to the venerable Palm V series. (SD/MMC update)

Date of Review:  Apr 11, 2001
The Bottom Line: Overall a good unit but may not be for everyone. Other options in Palms exist, with better pricing. This is definitely a unit for high end users!
Review: I know many people have been waiting for some time now for a new Palm handheld... not the redesigned m100s and m105s, which are the old palms in new cases and sizes but Palms with something extra. In March 2001, Palm announced the m500 and m505...

Certainly Not a Question of Need

Date of Review:  Oct 16, 2001
The Bottom Line: If you have the cash to burn (or your company buys it), it's a great little machine you'll be happy with!
Review: Just what do you need a Palm Pilot for anyway?

That?s not the point, is it? It?s just fun!

I must admit that was a driving factor in my desire for a Palm. The main reason, however, was to be able to read texts when I have a chunk...

Palm Fights Back with the m500

Date of Review:  Apr 29, 2001
The Bottom Line: The m500 is a solid unit aimed at the high end users with its SD/MMC expansion slot.
Review: Many people have been waiting for some time now for a new Palm handheld, a response to the competition posed by Handspring's Visor line and Sony's Clie. The m100s and m105s were nice, but they are the old palms in new cases and sizes and with a new...

Palm makes a mistake with the 500!

Date of Review:  Jul 26, 2001
The Bottom Line: Don't buy it if you are used to the V, need a hard case, don't see what you'd need the memory chip for, some / all of the above.
Review: I used the V for 18 months and grew to depend on it. New technology comes out -- a must! The 500 is thinner (nice) it has a decent sized clock (nice - throw away BigClock) and it has the sketch feature so you can scribble down telephone numbers...

Palm review by a palm novice

Date of Review:  Jul 9, 2002
The Bottom Line: Overall, despite the negative aspects of this product, I like the palm m500, as it offers good features at a good price with a little surprises.
Review: First Impressions

Upon purchasing my m500 from Amazon.com, I was skeptical as to how much use I would get from it. After It arrived and I had already let it sit for 2 hours charging in the cradle, I was sure that I made a good decision...

Love this PDA!!

Date of Review:  Aug 18, 2002
The Bottom Line: This is a great tool for anyone who has a busy life and needs some help getting organized!
Review: I just love this PDA and use it daily. We purchased one for my husband to use 6 months ago and he finds it essential in running our business. I thought that this kind of PDA would be a bit more than I needed as a housewife but after playing around...

Why bother?

Date of Review:  Jan 13, 2003
The Bottom Line: Not worth upgrading from previous generation Palms, and quite costly to own and operate.
Review: In and of itself, there's not TOO much to gripe with about this Palm, other than the fact that the batteries are a fortune and not do-it-yourself changeable (plain old AAA's are far superior and more cost effective), and the SIGNIFICANT fact that...

Still a Great Palm Choice!

Date of Review:  Jul 16, 2004
The Bottom Line: I would recommend the M500 for anyone. People just need to get over the need to carry around a "multimedia" device instead of a simple yet powerful organizer.
Review: I realize that I am a bit late in the game, but I purchased a M500 for a specific reason that I will explain later.

This is a great Palm device!

Despite what a lot of folks think, a color Palm or PocketPC is not always the way to...
