SPRINT's IPHONE KILLER?

Date of Review:  Jun 6, 2009
The Bottom Line: Palm delivers an iPhone3G alternative (not an iPhone killer) by taking the iPhone's strengths and adding multitasking, a great camera and smart gesturing.
Review: If you are reading this review, most likely, the main question on your mind is

“should I buy a Pre, or should I buy an iPhone 3G”?

“Which one is the best choice?”

Therefore, I will start by saying that,  although the Pre is...

Palm Pre is a Great IPhone Alternative

Date of Review:  Aug 22, 2009
The Bottom Line:

The Pre is a worthy competitor to the IPhone which can cost considerably less to own than a IPhone.

Review: Introduction

I am not a cell phone junkie. In other words, I'm never the first person with a new phone (too cheap) nor am I a regular reader of cellphonescoops.com to find out when the new phones are coming out (no time). I am, however, a...

Palm Pre, from a non-techie 30-something woman

Date of Review:  Jul 5, 2009
The Bottom Line: If you value smooth integration of contacts, various social networks, calendars, etc. all onto one phone, over video or ringtones, this is great!
Review: I was looking for an upgrade from my now ancient "V" phone, and was considering Blackberry's Curve, the iPhone, and the Palm Pre. Ultimately I bought a Palm Pre, two days ago. I'm going to address the factors that were important to me, and why I am...

Pre versus iPhone

Date of Review:  Jul 27, 2009
The Bottom Line: Excellent multitasking features marred by a terrible keyboard and questionable Sprint coverage.
Review: iPhone v Pre

What is a Pre?

You would have to have been hiding in a cave to not know about iPhone, but how about the Pre?

Pre is Palm's belated response to the iPhone juggernaut. It adds long overdue features like...

Not An iPhone Killer (Yet), But A Worthy Competitor Nonetheless

Date of Review:  Jul 21, 2009
The Bottom Line: If you're not a fan of AT&T, this is a worthy alternative. Sprint's network is solid and customer service is on the rise. PalmOS is worth a try.
Review: So, here I am 2 days shy of a full month's usage of my Palm Pre on Sprint.  If you read my iPhone review, you know how disappointed I was with it (and that was almost a year ago).  I understand a lot has changed, but not enough to warrant my...

Palm Pre features and iPhone / Blackberry comparisons

Date of Review:  Aug 21, 2009
The Bottom Line: If you like all the applications, get the iPhone, otherwise go for the Pre with it's superior network and design.
Review: The primary reason I chose the Palm Pre is because it was on the Sprint network which is where my family plan resides.  My wife owns a Blackberry and I own an iTouch so I will compare and contrast the Palm Pre versus 2 of the other main smartphones...

One Week with the Palm Pre

Date of Review:  Jun 17, 2009
The Bottom Line: Buy it unless you can't live without the listed features. It is an outstanding phone that is SO easy to use. It will only get better!
Review: There are lots of reviews of the Pre out there (but only one other on Epinions, so far). I will try and concentrate on the key facts rather than detailing ALL the information. To cut to the chase, I highly recommend the Pre. It has some limitations...

Palm Pre is for me

Date of Review:  Sep 2, 2009
The Bottom Line: I recommend this for business and trendy people who want style and functionality. Multi tasking is the best feature by far but is in no way an iphone competitor.
Review: I live in a household in a wonderland of cell phones. Recent past phones, 2 generations of Motorola Q’s, HTC Moguls ppc 6600 and 6800, HTC Touch. Current phones: Wife with LG Lotus, 8 year old son with the Samsung Highnote, an extra line with an HTC...

Palm Pre - For Pre-Adults

Date of Review:  Dec 7, 2009
The Bottom Line: This phone is best suited for a perhaps a small girl who is in Elementary or Middle school. Good phone, just ergonomically wasnt for me.
Review: I gave the Pre a shot about a month ago and it lasted a week with me before I returned it to Sprint.

I will make this very short but to the point. The Pre is an outstanding device. It has many apps and run multiple programs and does what it...
