Great quality except for the secondary mirror holder

I,ve had the scope since December 2006. My only beef is (like most Dob mounts)the Azimuth movement being too jerky with small minute movements, especially nearing 90 degree zenith.Seems better with a spray of silicon lube before each session. At a later date I had some trouble installing a Kendrick secondary mirror heater to go with my new dew heater controller.The secondary mirror on this scope is only glued with strong double foam "tape like adhesive",onto an angled post. The heater itself is designed to go in behind the secondary mirror holder normally found on other scopes. But this scope only has the mirror glued on. I had to somehow glue the secondary mirror heater to the mirror back and the rubbery heater back, glued to the angled metal secondary mirror post.Rubber to metal. I first used clear weather strip silicone but it was to soft. I had good success with the Red high heat silicone used in HVAC industry.I recollimated the scope and all is well again.
The tube is a little aukward to carry even in the padded case. The base is also awkward to carry. I guess this is par for a large Dobsonian but not impossible in two trips.
The computer object locator is bang on when proper star alignment is done. I am able to get a warp factor as low as +- .1 even had a 0 once or twice.The trick is to have proper tension on the base mount and perform the Alt/Azimuth hidden test function on the computer.
Get some good widefield eyepieces like the exceptional valued Orion Stratus series eyepieces.Also a Telrad finder is essential, especially with the right angled finder scope.I use the telrad to point and the 9x50 finder to recentre objects when drifted from field of view.
All in All I am thrilled about this scope. Have yet to get to a Dark Sky site though.
