Love this carrier!

We received this carrier as a gift for our first baby boy. He was born in June so the carrier was not put to use until a few months later. You can't use the carrier until the baby is at least 12 pounds or so because they will disappear inside of it. When the baby is really new they face your body. At first he did not love to be in it for very long periods, but that might have been less due to the carrier itself and more due to the fact that he was not used to being outside. As he grew and got bigger he started to like it more and more. Now, we put him in it even if we just want to get some chores done and he is almost 10 months old. He loves it.

We used it all throughout the winter (we live in the midwest) and were able to take him for walks even when it was cold out because he was close to my body and did not get cold. This was much better than being stuck inside all winter. Plus he really likes being outside.

Once he was about 4 months old we were able to put him in the carrier forward facing. This is much better because he can see what is going on around him and is entertained for hours. The only negative is that now that he is about 18 pounds I have trouble carrying him for any amount of time. My husband will take him walking in the woods or hiking and he will usually fall asleep he is so relaxed in there. One of the great things about this is that is has transitioned as he grew from rear facing to forward facing and unlike many of our other baby things has lasted almost his whole first year!
