Good all-around (but not *great*) camera
Pros:
VERY durable. All weather compatible. Completely submersible. Flexible picture options.
Cons:
Video quality is very poor. Proprietary USB cable. Proprietary battery. External charger.
The Bottom Line:
The pros outweigh the cons. It is small enough and durable enough to take everywhere without worries.

Author's Review
A good all around camera. This camera is very portable, very rugged and all weather compatible. It is completely submersible and plays fairly well with sand, dirt, dust--great for days at the beach/pool/water park. Picture quality is decent, but not excellent. If youre looking for the ultimate in picture quality, look elsewherebut for general use this camera will serve you well.
Video quality is well below industry average and at times suffers from severe color seperation. But then again, the primary function is a still camera.
There are lots of options for taking still pictures, almost too much. There are twenty three pre-programmed modes and an option for manual settings.
Shutter speed is decent. With the recommended memory card, lag time is virtually nil. Warm-up time is good.
Unfortunately, this camera requires a propriety battery. One battery has decent life and will usually last a full day of regular shooting. If you're a heavy shooter, be prepared to purchase one (or two) more batteries and keep them charged and ready.
Overall the Pros outweigh the Cons and I am happy with this camera. I have purchased several extra batteries which I keep fully charged and this gives me a full day of heavy shooting or several days of regular shooting.
