A great shave and quiet, too.

This is a shaver that is better than any I've ever used. I don't use blades as they irritate my skin. This shaver doesn't irritate my skin and shaves so closely that I don't have a five o clock shadow anymore. I used to shave every three to four days because my old shaver pulled my whiskers and took several passes to work at a very marginal level. With the 9160, it is no longer an ordeal! It works with very little pressure applied, is very quiet, and very fast as I don't have to go over my beard more than a couple of passes (although it is hard to break the habit of going over and over and over...). Cleaning it is a breeze as all that is involved is opening it up and rinsing it under the faucet, closing it up and shaking the water out, opening it up again and letting it air dry. It has taken my shave from being a 10 to 15 minute ordeal to maybe one or two minutes. I bought from worldwide distributors at the amazon.com site and paid 85 dollars with shipping. It is a factory refurbished or reconditioned model with a 90 day warranty, but I have no qualms about norelco quality as I've owned one norelco for 30 plus years and another for 4-5 years. The former still works better than the latter but its motor is dying. The latter norelco made me question norelco quality as I replaced the shaving heads on a regular basis with marginal results. The 9160 is another beast entirely and has restored my faith in norelco.
