Bad Phone & Customer Service Stinks
Date of Review: Apr 22, 2009
The Bottom Line: I would not buy it because of poor customer service.
I think this phone is okay. I bought it because other reviews said it was great for the hard of hearing. I don't hear very well, but I also don't wear hearing aids. This phone has been terrible - I can't hear people well at all and people often say they can't hear me.
The phone is lightweight and looks cute (especially in pink), but is considerably heavier than you would expect given its limited capabilities.
The speakerphone works fairly well. It's on the higher end of other phones I've used.
The camera is what you would expect from a cell phone - not great, but it gets the job done for making background pictures.
The phone holds a charge better than any other phone I've owned (mostly Samsung). Excellent call time, too!
The menu options take some time to get used to as they are not nearly as user friendly as Samsung phones. The texting is also different from most other phones. But, as with most cell phones, once you get used to these changes, it's pretty easy to use.
The most frustrating thing about this phone is it's tendency to get stuck on headset mode. I have never plugged in a headset, yet it has randomly gone into headset mode many times. Usually a hard reset (take out battery while phone is turned on) fixes the problem. But, this last time, no amount of turning on/off, resetting, etc, helped. So, I checked with customer service and it turns out that the phone is still under warranty! Well, I sent it in and got the phone returned to me because there is "corrosion damage to the electronic circuitry" - I have never dropped the phone in water (as evidenced by my still white watermark sticker), yet they won't fix the phone because some moisture in the air caused corrosion damage. Customer service has nice people, but is extremely unhelpful.
