Some Great Early Garth in No Fences

Date of Review:  Mar 23, 2008
The Bottom Line: Some great older sounds, an essential early Garth Brooks...if you like George Straight and the like you may enjoy this one too.
Review: Four years ago I met my significant other and found my meager CD collection suddenly being mingled with a significantly larger collection, including every album ever done by Garth Brooks. Amongst these was one of my favorites of his, No Fences.

From Country's newest star to Country's biggest star

Date of Review:  Apr 27, 2004
The Bottom Line: If you love real Country music you'll love "No Fences" and if you hate Country music, you'll probably be converted by this album!
Review: In 1990, Garth Brooks had a successful and critically acclaimed debut album under his belt. Hit's like "If Tomorrow never comes" in 1989 had placed him on top of the country chart's and the single "The Dance" pushed the original "Garth Brooks" album...

There's Garth, and There's Garbage

Date of Review:  Jul 23, 2000
Review: As you can tell from my vast selection of Kiss reviews :) I am not very fond of country music. Too much of it sounds the same, with the standard "cheatin', stealin', drankin'" motif. Any genre of music that includes such "hits" as "She's the Queen...

Best Garth CD Ever? One of them...

Date of Review:  Sep 22, 1999
Review: I bought this album back in 1990 for one reason, and one reason only... it was the latest album by Garth Brooks. Having owned his debut album, I wanted more to listen to than just that. No Fences delivers. The album starts off with "The Thunder...

The music of Garth

Date of Review:  Jun 24, 2000
Review: I've never really enjoyed country music until recently (even though I live in a little southern town and country is the most popular form of music) and one of my favorite country stars is Garth Brooks. I had heard this cd, No Fences, when I was in...

10 years old, but NOT out of date

Date of Review:  Feb 27, 2000
Review: Garth Brooks' Album "No Fences" has been around for approximately 10 years now, but it has not lost its flavor yet. Most people believe that country music is just for pouty babies who sing about "their dog dying, and their baby leaving them". This...

For a country album,this rocks!

Date of Review:  Sep 14, 2000
Review: Some people got it and some people don't, Garth Brooks has it. Some of his songs make you sad and some pump you up, this album has both. In my opinion its one of the best that he has. Most music you hear, his music you feel. I am amazed at the heart...

Review: what an excellent CD to listen to for all you Garth Brooks fans. Thunder rolls is a good yet spooky song. I've got friends in low places is a good pick me up song when you're feeling low or blue. Two of a kind working on a full house - is a song...
