Product Review

Great car for the money

by   iceemcreamcone ,   Dec 22, 2002

Pros:  Lots of power, great handling, sporty yet comfortable!

Cons:  Bose audio system, and the rear left window regulator.

The Bottom Line:  If you need cheap transportation that is dependable and easy to maintain, you can't go wrong!

Overall Rating: 5/5 stars

Author's Review

I had a 92 Mazda 929 that was fully loaded. I was in love with this car until the transmission failed and it was going to cost me $1800-$2100 to fix or replace it including labor. My thought was buying another car would be less expensive and if I did decide to keep the 929, it would make a great second car.

My friend is a car wholesaler, which isn't a bad type of friend to have when you need a car quick. He had the 91 Nissan Maxima and a 92 that was leather and an automatic.
I went to look a both cars and fell in love with the 5-speed manual. It runs like a V8 sports car and hugs the corners.
I bought the car after driving it the first time. Everything about it felt tight, almost like a car feels when it is new. Even though the car didn't have all the curves that the 929 had, the drive won me over.

The Bose radio had three bad amplified speakers and the display on the radio doesn't work. The rear window regulator is bad but only cost $60 new, and will take an hour or two to replace. Other than that, there is nothing wrong with this vehicle. I highly recommend this vehicle to anyone who likes quality!
