Pros: Light-weighted and durable enough for even the most amateur of photographer.
Cons: I believe Coolpix to be a bit childish but the camera sure proves that wrong.
The Bottom Line: You can't go wrong with this product kicking around your house, office or lab. From any amateur who happens to use it right up to the expertise of graphic designers.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: I have been using to Nikon Coolpix 4500 Zoom Digital Camera for two months now and believe it is nothing short of a miracle worker. Putting in long hard days of advertising and graphic design projects the Nikon stays beside me the whole time. I can...

Pros: Great resolution, features, and ergonomics (But read the manual)
Cons: Weak flash
The Bottom Line: If you an amateur photographer and like to fiddle, buy this camera now. This is a camera from a camera company, not a camera from a electronics company.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: This is a great camera. I have had mine for about a month and the more I use it the more I like it. Good optics, great macro. It has just about every imaginable feature for the photographer, and it has great ergonomics and is pretty easy to...

Pros: More options than I will ever use, easy to use.
Cons: Battery life, length of time it takes to write the image to the CF card
The Bottom Line: The last digital camera I will buy until the DSLR's get a bit cheaper.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: I recently traded up from a Coolpix 995 that I was mostly happy with and I havent been sorry for the change. Once again there are so many features on this camera I will never possibly use them all. I like the addition of sound capture for voice...

Pros: Superb photographs and operation like a 35mm in a handy package
Cons: Auxiliary lenses block the optical viewfinder
The Bottom Line: The practical advantages of Coolpix's unique design outweigh the need for more megapixels. The picture quality is all *I* will ever need, and then some.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: Most people love the Nikon cameras, and why not? Nikon is obviously a top-notch manufacturer of all things photographic, and not the cheapest, so you expect a good product - and get it.
There are several reviews that list all the features... |

Pros: VG pix, lots of features, 4megpixel allows for cropping, twist body is really useful
Cons: battery life, highlight burn in, focus iffy in low light, shutter lag
This reviewer does not recommend this product.
Review: Very good quality pictures, solid body, the twist thing is VERY usefull when taking shots over people's heads, etc. LOTS of features which are very useful if you are a semi-pro, but a real pain if you just want point-and-shoot (the menu system is...

Pros: Takes great pictures. Outstanding for macro work.
Cons: User interface is poorly designed. No USB camera-control.
The Bottom Line: You can take very good pictures with this camera. But I would have expected a much better-designed user interface and a much more capable USB interface.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: Good Features
This camera has many fine features and several outstanding features. This tempts you to expect that the rest of the features would be designed to the same high standard, but the user interface and the USB ... |

Pros: 4 megapixels, 4X zoom, great for macros. Lots of options.
Cons: Beginners beware! Menus confusing compared to other brands. Shutter lag.
The Bottom Line: If you are a camera enthusiast and have patience, buy it. Otherwise if you want a camera with ease of use stay away.
This reviewer does not recommend this product.
Review: Purchased this camera because at the time it had the most extras such as the zoom and megapixels for the lowest price. They also had a mail-in rebate that was good.
After taking many pictures that came out bad I finally sucked it up and started... |

Pros: Good picture quality, great for technical shots
Cons: Very poor user interface, nagging time delay on motion shots
The Bottom Line: This really is'nt the camera for anybody but a gadget lover. If you are really a pro, go for a higher end model, if your a beginner go lower.
This reviewer does not recommend this product.
Review: I have owned and used (extensively) the coolpix for about 6 months now. For still shots of equipment or articles for sale, murder evidence, or still people it is great. The picture quality is unsurpassed in the 4Mp arena. However the user interface...

Pros: Build Quality, Lens, 4MP CCD, and Excellent Color Saturation
Cons: Why did Nikon shrink the LCD screen? No RAW format.
The Bottom Line: I recommend it above every other digital pocket-sized camera on the market today. If you can get it for less than $400.00 you won?t be disappointed.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: After several years of waiting and deliberating the declining price of technology has finally placed a coolpix within my grasp. Nikon is now offering a $200.00 rebate on the Coolpix 4500 and that places the price point at around $350 (after rebate)...
