Greatest Chapter in the tale of swords and souls...so far

I was first introduced to these games when I played the awe inspiring Soul Edge arcade. I never played the first PS release of this series but came back when part 2 emerged. I was hooked; the story of good and evil, power and peace and revenge and adventure was amplified only by deadly weapons and martial arts. The game play was fast paced, easy to control and the wide range of combos and grabs keep the fighting entertaining. The chronicles mode is very difficult and with no way of changing the level it becomes frustrating after many many defeats. Many variations of the weapons, appearance of the fighters and stages keeps this game fresh after several hundred battles. The story mode also gives you different path options which means beating the game with your favorite fighter several times may turn up something new each go. The create a character is pretty good too, ranging from funny to gothic to down right fearsome, there are plenty of materials to create the warrior only you can dream up. I bought this game to see where the story goes next and the fighting on the second one was just amazing. I love the fighting system on this game its smooth, fast, easy and somewhat realistic. The weapons and their wielders are excellently designed, filled with detail and very unique your bound to find a favorite or two. The stage are beautiful and very detailed. There are a couple of things that made it onto my hate list, such as the chronicles difficulty and its inability to change the difficulty level and the loading time between fights. This is one of the best fighting games for anyone who is a buff of this genre and another great chapter in the tale of swords and souls.
