Match that with devastating defense, and prepare to generate the power(NFL 2k2 saying) Run the offense. Drive down the field. Obtain complete control of your team. Not that easy. Got to break bone crushing tackles, fake out the opponents, shove it in their faces. You can taste victory but only one thing is in your way. The safety standing right in front of you.



NFL 2k2 is one of the most action packed, exciting football games ever made. This game does not have the best football graphics I have seen, but does it really matter about the graphics when you have a very exciting gameplay? If you want a football game with amazing graphics, go for a Madden. If you want a game that you will always love to play, get NFL 2k2. Even though this game doesnt have very good graphics, you can still see the detail they put into this game. The jerseys matching every little detail as if it were a real jersey. The football matching each little ridge, the laces looking so real. The stadiums, each little corner, each seat, each walkway matches how it would be like in a real stadium. The movements of the players, the catching, it all looks like you are right on the field watching them. This football game has almost every NFL Team there is (except the Texans). Every player that is on that team is in this game.



Gameplay time. The gameplay of the game is very important. If the game ahs amazing graphics but poor gameplay, it would bore you very easily and you would not play it a lot. Not this game. This game has exciting gameplay. Remember back when, the exciting gameplay of PacMan when it first game out? Same thing for this game. There are different modes you can play, each mode having its own special features. This game has tournaments and franchises, which are rare in any Maddens. The main point of this is like any other football game. Achieve more points then the other team, simple as that.



There are about 5 modes in this game. Each of the modes varies from importance. Each of these modes will test your skills to the max, seeing if you can succeed.



1)Practice Mode- This is one of the modes that isnt really important in this game. This is where you can extend your skills beyond normal. Brush up on your amazing catches, hard tackles, amazing catches and any thing else you want. Pick your favorite team and get to know your favorite players better. Or, pick a team that you despise and try to get to like them. If not, challenge them to a game using your favorite team and destroy them. You can do this mode as many times as you want, getting ready for the main modes where it matters the most.



2)Tourney- In other words, this is called a tournament mode. This is almost like just playing a playoffs. You can select the teams that you want in this tourney, and compete for victory. Achieve 1st place and be the champs. You may play with 4,8,or 16 teams in the tourney. Pick the teams you like, make your challenges difficult. Refine your skills. How much can you succeed? You cant ever have to much glory can you?(another minor mode)



3)Exhibition- This mode is more important than practice and tourney. This is a mode that is in every football game. This is where you select 2 NFL football teams and compete head to head giving it all on the field. Give it all even if it means injuries. Give 110% whatever it takes. Make your name on the Hall of fame, or if you would like, be put on the Wall of shame. Your choice, your rules, your game.



4)Season- This is exactly like a 16 game season in the real NFL. Manage your team, control your players, make your game. One thing to remember through the blood and pain, one thing you look up to. That is the win. You are able to make trades, sign free agents, deal with your teams salary cap and totally control your team. In a season, you get to pick any NFL team there is and you get to manage them the way you like. You may want to play every game of the season, winning and losing moving up and down on the standings. Make it to the playoffs, beat all the teams, come out champions. In a season, you are the manager of your team. You find the weaknesses, you find the strengths, use them wisely. Your entire team depends on your managing.



5)Franchise- This is very close to a season. The same rules in this. Manage your team to make it to the playoffs and become champions. The reason this mode is different is that you may create your own franchise. You may select a draft in the beginning of the year and rebuild your team completely. This is where your teams money problems make a difference. You are able to play more than one season in a row, keeping your total overall record and seeing how well you played against the computer. A franchise is where you outwit other managers in using your trading wisely to make your team the bets they possibly can.



Now for the controls of NFL 2k2. The controls, at first, may be confusing and hard to learn. With all the spin moves and pump fakes and different buttons to tackle, it is very hard to learn. Running you must fill up the turbo bar release it then do it all over again. This may become very annoying if you are inches away form the touchdown when you have to recharge.



In all, NFL 2k2 is a great football game. People love this game because it has one of the most realistic tackles there has ever been made in a football game. The graphics may not be that good, but the gameplay is amazing.
