The best thing after sliced bread? better!
Pros:
excellently made, strong, reliable and good looking.
Cons:
a bit heavy and a bit noisy - nothing serious.
The Bottom Line:
If you love ice cream and tired of dishing out $3 per quart for decent quality, commercial grade ice cream, this is the machine for you.

Author's Review
We love ice cream and I am very picky when it comes to choosing my ice cream. not only the taste but also the ingredients, so I went hunting for the ultimate machine for home use.
Found it! this machine is absolutely perfect, yea, it makes some noise while churning but so what? it makes excellent ice cream, is powerful enough to stir the ice cream to a perfect texture and it even looks good (what do you expect?, it is Italian after all).
We own this machine for three years now and after the initial excitement, I am down to two batches of ice cream per week, basically our family consumption rate.
a year ago an Italian ice cream parlor was opened up in the neighborhood, we visited it once, never to return. there is simply no comparison in quality and freshness.
I can honestly say that every ice cream flavor I make is top class, but I have yet to master the sorbet line. If you plan to eat sorbet immediately after "production" your are in for an heavenly experience, but once you freeze it overnight you will need an ice pick to break it apart (it is after all based on water), this has nothing to do with the machine itself of course, just that I have yet to learn how to do the job right (yea, you could throw the ice into a blender, but that is not the idea).
I have compared this machine to another Italian maker Il Gelataio (I hope the spelling is correct), both produce ice cream very well, but the Musso is stronger and simply looks better, a matter of preference I guess.
