what a waste of money and time!!

I received this product as a gift for the holidays and when my kids and I went to use it we were all excited yet to be totally disappointed. The range claimed 18 miles but maybe in a desert. We used ours outside and maybe it went 100 yards, but it was so fuzzy you could barely understand eachother. We brought them back because we thought we had a lemon. The new pair was the same if not worse. We stayed in the house one upstairs and one in the basement and it was totaly unclear. I would not recommend this product to anyone. I am very dissapointed in the motorola name, I thought that they were the best that"s why I had requested them for out gift. I just bought a pair of unidens and I am sure they will be better.
