Freedom!

I wanted wireless headphones that allows me to watch TV, play video games, and listen to music (TV/PC) while my wife or I study. Coupled with the Motorola DC800, I can do just that. Pairing with it was quick and easy, too. I use the S805 strictly as audio headphones because I don't have a newer Bluetooth/music player cell phone, so I can't review the music player control (right side) features or its use as a Bluetooth headset. As for sound, the sound range is good (although not the deepest bass) and sound quality is clear. Sound quality is better when the DC800 transmits audio to the headphones via "Line Out" rather than the 3mm headphones jack. I feel the volume range is good for the home environment, although probably not loud enough in a city/subway setting. The mute button works as expected. I do experience a few milliseconds delay coming from the headphones when compared to my home theater output, (no Guitar Hero with these babies!) but not very noticeable. I have no static issues, but I do experience a loss of sound which happens more frequently when up close during microwave use even with Bluetooth's frequency hopping. This makes sense because this device operates in the 2.4GHz range. I've tried the contemporary behind-the-neck headphones design but I can't relax my head against a couch or lay down on a pillow with those. The in-ear Bluetooth headphones are small, but usually have some length of cord to tuck in a shirt pocket or clip to a piece of clothing so it's not in the way, which seemed cumbersome to me. So the "DJ style" of the S805 is much more comfortable, diverse, and truly wireless, although it does come with a dual male-end cord (albeit pretty short) to plug directly into an audio source.
