Hate It!!!

Since the day we purchased this dryer, I've regretted it. It is extremely noisy. I wish we'd kept our 11-year old dryer. We complained to the dealer and they replaced a couple of parts but the problem persisted. They contacted Miele and they "supposedly" told the dealer that there was a problem with the venting and there would be a "fix" forthcoming. I called Miele directly, and they said there was no fix in the works. The dealer suggested that we get a larger vent hose and piping to the outside which meant we'd have to re-route the whole thing out to the front of our home at great expense to us. Given the price of the unit, we didn't feel we should have to spend hundreds of dollars more to get it to work correctly. Miele claimed that the venting in our home met their specs and that it wasn't the problem. They promised to set out one of their technicians but never did. They promised to call me back with a resolution but instead kept calling the dealer. The dealer offered us an unacceptable resolution, but we just gave up.

The dealer and Miele passed the buck back and forth for about 9 months. Miele is not standing behind their product and has no plans to correct it. It is so noisy, I can't talk on the phone while the dryer is running in the laundry room. People have walked into our home while it was running and couldn't believe the noise.

On a side note, we are satisfied with their washer. It's a matching set, so not sure what we will eventually do.

I would not recommend this product to anyone--at any price.
