Author's Review
Here is my review for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004: A Century of Flight. I will divide my review into categories: Positives & Negatives.
Positives:
To start off, this is a extremely realistic Flight Simulator, it has all the little details that real flying has. Besides being very realistic, this is one of the most open and biggest gameplay areas that I've seen. You can travel where ever including +15000 airports. This is also a very educational game, including a whole bunch of historic flights like the Wright Flyer, Ryan NYP "Spirit of St. Louis", Amelia Earhart's Flight, and others. The game also has a learning center so you can learn how to fly, and learn history of flying. You can fly 24 different Planes, Jets, and Helicopters including: 1903 Wright Flyer, Vickers Vimy, Boeing 747-400, Learjet 45, Robinson R22 Beta 2 Helicopter, and more. You'll also be able to view "Virtual Cockpits" to make flying really realistic. You can change the weather, time, season, date, etc. Or choose "Real World Weather" that automatically changes. This sums it up for the positives.
Negatives:
Well, as much as flying sounds fun in all, this game can get EXTREMELY BORING if your not the type who just likes to fly. All you do is FLY!, although you can do stunts with SOME aircraft, it does get boring after a while, and if you don't know how to fly, this game can be very difficult and confusing. Second it takes 20-40 minutes to install on Windows XP using FOUR discs and all in the end it really wasn't worth it. You also need about 128MB Ram and a 1.8GB hard drive which really takes up space. So this game is typically not your "Play for endless hours game." This sums it up for the negatives.
This was my review for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004: A Century of Flight. I hope this review was helpful for you.
