Pros:  Comfortable and quiet typing, neat and minimalistic appearance, good price

Cons:  None that stand out

The Bottom Line:  I would like to replace all my keyboards with the Comfort Curve 2000. It's neat, quiet, comfortable and inexpensive

Author's Review

I've been using the basic MS keyboards at work and at home for about 6 years. They're comfortable to use, built ruggedly enough to last for a long time and in addition, I've become accustomed to the 'Calculator' shortcut button above the numeric keypad.

I tried the earlier versions of ergonomically split keyboard and was dissatisfied by the amount of pressure that the keys required.

My current PC at home is in a black case and I've been replacing the accessories with black items too. The Comfort Curve 2000 caught my interest because:

1) It's black and doesn't come with many flashy-looking silver-coloured extra features which I don't use. The surfing and media control keys are wasted on me, since I never touch those.

2) The keys are similar to notebook PC's in height and also in the light pressure which I use when typing. This means less strain on the hand-muscles and also means that I'm not bothering anyone with the sounds of my typing.

3) It features the calculator shortcut key, without the 2 which I never use.

The aspects that I had to become accustomed to were the seemingly small overall size, and the curvature of the keys. I had thought the keyboard was slightly bigger, but the size is actually a blessing-in-disguise since it doesn't require much desktop space. The curvature took a short time to become used-to as well. Now I'm very happy with the position of my hands.

I use the little stands for the slight tilt, but I wouldn't want the keyboard to be raised much more. I think too much would strain my hands.

After using the keyboard for 6 weeks, I'm completely satisfied with my purchase. It's a pleasure to type on, matches my requirements in the looks department and it was inexpensive too. I am really happy that the keys operate so quietly too.
