The Jury is Still Out

Date of Review: Jun 16, 2000

I'm not entirely sure how I feel about Men's Workout. I received on issue as a gift and it contained an amazing ab routine. I find some of the articles informative, but many of the workouts are tired and cliche. For beginners, the workout laid out therein might be helpful, but for intermediate to advanced bodybuilders or workout enthusiasts, it may seem like the workouts were supplied by Captain Obvious.

The magazine's pictures a little disturbing. I'm not sure if the target audience is bodybuilders or gay men. The suggestive and provocative nature of the photos have no place in a magazine that maintains that it is devoted to bodybuilding. I would recommend Muscle Fitness, Natural Bodybuilder or Muscular Development before I'd recommend this magazine.

Pros
basic information for beginners, sporadic, quality abdominal training routines
Cons
elementary content and pictures look as though they are from a gay porn magazine
