205,000 miles and still going

I purchased my blue 1995 Protege LX 5 speed in March of 2000 from original owner with 140,000 miles on it. I wasn't afraid of the mileage because it was mostly highway, plus the owner gave me copies of recent service records. This car is fun to drive, has great MPG, and has held up well. Front axles seem to be a weak area, otherwise a solid car. Unfortunately a year ago it started smoking during initial start-up during cold weather for about 15 seconds. I liked this car so much I bought a 2000 ES model two years ago and have been very pleased with it as well. I put a K & N air filter in both, and could see a significant difference in the 95, and small difference in the 2000.
