Great Compact Outdoor Electric Grill

This grill cooks and looks great. Right out of the box, tighten 6 screws and then started to use it. It has a sturdy steel drip tray built into the pedestal (and out of sight) as opposed to my previous Char-Broil Patio Caddie that had a small flimsy drip pan hanging from the bottom that developed small holes in it after a few years.

The Masterbuilt thermostat control has a special squeeze handle which assists in removing it from the unit. It is a great size where space is limited and the pedestal design looks much nicer than the 3 or 4 legged grills. The 200 Sq. inch grilling area is plenty for 4-6 people. The top flips up rather than completely coming off which helps if limited space.

I had a Char-Broil Electric Patio Caddie for about four years. After replacing the thermostat control and heating element, I decided to get a new Patio Caddie when the thermostat went again. When I tried to assemble the new Patio Caddie grill, the top liner was too short to install. Also the new Patio Caddie design no longer used briquettes - the main reason I wanted another one; most others do not use briquettes. Since the new one did not, and I had past problems, I returned it and bought the Masterbuilt electric grill from QVC for $138.

In my mind, no doubt the Masterbuilt electric grill is far superior to the Char-Broil Patio Caddie grill. It is built better, easier to assemble, looks (stainless steel) and cooks better and even at a lower price.
