LED Bulb Upgrade For MagLite 2C or 2D Flashlights -- Save Money On Batteries!!!

Intro

When I saw this I thought of my little key chain LED light that is really bright but was tired of having to change out the batteries from it turning on in my pocket. So I figured at the cost of more than fourteen dollars ($14.25 to be exact and that is before shipping) for 2 button cells type CR2032 that it was time to breakdown and get the MagLite L.E.D. Upgrade since it cost under fifteen dollars ($14.25 before taxes) it would provide better brightness than the Swiss key chain with a single LED on it that I bought back in the Summer of 2003. And so far the upgrade led has saved me over sixteen dollars in batteries alone so it has paid for itself in just four months, plus the lighting is a lot better.

Why Maglite L.E.D. Upgrade

The main reason why I bought this item is because I was tired of having to replace batteries every month or more often with amount of use in a given month. I generally use the flashlight for ten plus hours a month on average.

Plus I am every bit of a resources conservative and do not believe in buying items that do not last long if I can afford to do so. I like to use Green Friendly Products when I can afford to do so, that conserve electricity, conserve fuel, and are environmentally friendly.

Another fine plus is that it does not void the warranty since it is genuine MagLite replacement part. Other LEDs may void your warranty on the MagLite flashlight for not being genuine parts, so read the fine print provided on the package and/or directions with other replacement kits.

It saves you lots of green backs (also known as dollars) in your pocket so you can spend your money else where on something other than batteries such as gasoline. I have saved nearly twenty dollars by using this MAG LED UPGRADE so it has paid for itself many times over.

Quality of Light

The light is absolutely excellent since it does not have the yellowish hue that is associated with the average day incandescent flashlight bulbs; the white LED light is a clear crisp bright white and is great for general purpose lighting. Another fine feature of this MAG LED UPGRADE MODULE is that you do not loose the ability to adjust the light to your liking.

Would I Buy Again

Yes!!! At this point I am 100% satisfied with only having positive experiences of excellent bright shining light having one (1) LED.

Plus it has been close to four months and 46 hours later and still have not replaced the 2 D batteries.

Amount Of Time To Install

It takes about two (2) minutes or so to install the LED Kit since you have to take apart the top of the MagLite by unscrewing the top and then removing the light bulb after unscrewing the light housing followed by inserting the LED and screwing the housing again and screwing the top back on.

What Does "LED" Stand For

"LED" stands for Light Emitting Diode.

Final Thoughts

I am very pleased with the products performance in my Maglite that uses 2 D batteries.
