The Bottom Line: Nice cordless vacuum. I would recommend a corded version, however.
It was excellent when the battery held a charge. The first couple of months were fine, then it was downhill from there.
If you have ever owned cordless power tools, you will understand this vacuum.
When the battery is "fresh"/"new" it will work great.
However, over a very short time period, the battery will lose it's ability to hold a charge.
Remember, vacuums consume an enormous amount of energy (watts), so they make for bad cordless devices.
Lithium-Ion technology is making its way into consumer appliances, so the future of cordless vacs may be bright.
With Lithium-Ion, this vacuum would be great but more expensive as well.
This would be a great little vacuum for small rooms, offices or apartments. Do not expect it to last very long though.
Save yourself some time and money, buy a corded stick vacuum or upright.
Doing so will save you money because this vacuum will become useless in about 3-4 months.
Note: I love the power, suction, design and concept of this vacuum... but it is just shy of utilizing newer battery technology.
Hopefully Dirt Devil will introduce a newer model with Lithium-Ion soon. I will certainly give it a try.
Buy only if you cannot afford a better, corded, vacuum, or if you will not use it often.
