Tastier Than Swiss Cheese!

Date of Review: Mar 27, 2007

The Bottom Line:  It's funny, written well, and it's an exciting adventure!
Geronimo Stilton lives in New Mouse City, the capital of Mouse Island. He the editor of, The Rodent's Gazette. When his sister, Thea, finds a treasure map she ropes him into traveling along with her to find the treasure. Their cousin, Trap, who's a little on the clumsy side, also joins them on their adventure, and Geronimo's favorite nephew, Benjamin, stows away on the boat.
Trap is supposed to be an expert sailor but it turns out he doesn't anything about it. So the four of them end up getting into lots of trouble.
What I like about this story is that the characters though they might be mice are supposed to be, people, and everything is taken from something that's in the real world. New Mouse City is supposed to be, New York City. The refer to the Supermouse bowl. Everything is compared to cheese. Geronimo Stilton's books are tastier than Swiss cheese and tangier then extra-sharp cheddar. When Geronimo packs for the trip all he takes with him are various cheese dishes.
This story is funny, and a little far-fetched, and a good read, something to take your mind off everything. I was literally rolling on the floor laughing both times I read this book. I recommend this book to anybody who likes adventure and comedy at the same time!
