The Bottom Line: Great game pad for a great price. Value.
I have owned about 4 of these Logitech Dual Action USB game pads. Not because they keep breaking, but because I give them away to people who use mine and want one of their own.
The game pad's shape fits easily into your hands. The feeling is very natural. Most people prefer the Play Station controllers over the Xbox controllers, and these Logitech Dual Actions are very similar to the Play Station controllers.
Besides the directional controls, there are 10 programmable buttons placed logically. The game pad feels very durable and well made. Who cares if it has a cord? Wireless input devices are overrated and usually heavy. I do not see why anyone needs wireless input devices for their PC anyway, since they are usually sitting close to their PC.
This game pad is recognized by Windows XP. No need to install drivers. You probably will have to go into the settings or preferences on your video games to set them to work with this game pad as opposed to the keyboard or mouse.
Having a game pad makes video games a lot more fun. The keyboard and mouse are fine for games like card games or such, but for arcade type games, the game pad is way better. I use it mostly for console emulation. I have a NES emulator and play a lot of the classic NES games like RBI Baseball, Super Mario Bros., Excitebike, etc.. The Logitech Dual Action game pad feels almost identical to the original NES controllers, making the experience almost 100% like playing on an original NES console.
