Best MicroPhone for Skype & Others
Date of Review: Nov 10, 2006
The Bottom Line: Low Price & Great Product equals buy buy & buy.
By Far the Greatest Desktop MicroPhone
Story
I was trying to communicate with my friends in Brazil over the Internet and I barely could understand them & they me. The connection was horrible and nothing seemed to work on my old cheap microphone. So I went to Best Buy of all places and found this mircophone. It was labled as compatible with Skype and other VoIP systems. For less than $30 I decided to give it a try.
I opened the box, which was probably the hardest part and then plugged the microphone into the USB port of my computer. Within 30 seconds the computer recognized the mircophone and installed the software to run it. Within minutes I was testing it out and calling people. The clarity was extremely high and my friends were pleased.
Design
It is a sleek design, simple and unobtrusive. I love it because it also comes with a small attachment to your computer. However there is a downside to that attachment, it is sticky tape, which means it will be annoying to remove. I prefer the stand because it adds a techno look and feel to my desk. It is simple, one switch to turn on and off.
Downsides
It is not wireless and the sticky tape for attaching to the computer. Other than that it is perfect, low price, great functionality and very easy to install.
In The End
I would recommend this to techies and grand parents. Because it is versatile for just about anyone and any use.
