Paid $3,500 for mine. Happy so far.
Pros:
Durable, affordable, comfortable
Cons:
Nothing to get panties in a wad about.
The Bottom Line:
Buy an ES300 (after doing your due dilligence, as always)

Author's Review
I purchased my fully-loaded ES300 Coach edition with 131k from a fellow who buys cars from auctions, fixes and resells them. I am a very cautious and skeptical buyer and don't get in a big hurry to buy. I was apprehensive about the fact that it was purchased from an auto auction as well as the reason(s) for it ending up there. It was declared a total loss by the insurance company of the previous owner. It ran up under the rear end of a commercial truck, which caused irreparable damage to the hood itself, as well as slight damage to the housing of the radiator (radiator function has not been compromised). Photos taken of the body damage matched up with the info the dealer was telling me. All he did was replace the hood and sell it to me for a $2,300 profit! (that's right, he paid $1,200 for it-- he did not intend to disclose this info to me; I saw his purchase price when he logged into his password-protected info on the auto auction site. He quickly clicked out of that screen!) I've had the car now for 10 months to the day, and am still very happy with my decision. I will so though, that the road noise level is higher than described on others' reviews, but not really that big a deal (no one has ever asked me if I'm driving while using my phone). A friend of mine commented that he thought it looked brand new other than the 90's styling. I would almost agree. Everything works great after putting an additional 14k on it. Very comfortable for long road trips; I've only fallen asleep twice while driving it :). The only thing that bothers me is when I have the sun roof open, at times I can smell exaust. I told my mechanic about it, but of course it wouldn't happen when he was around. This is a strange syptom given that it runs perfectly and sounds normal (no exaust leak-type sounds occuring). Oh well, not a big deal for such a great car and the super low price.
