Good to the last drop with some flaws
Pros:
Automatic Settings, Coffee stays hot for hours, durable carafe
Cons:
Clumsy lid, expensive
The Bottom Line:
This is a good coffeemaker depending on the features you are looking for. Because it is expensive, and it's a Krups, I expected perfection and was a bit disappointed.

Author's Review
I like this coffeemaker quite a bit for several reasons. First off, I am tired of breaking glass carafes. The carafe is made with durable plastic and is thermal, which leads to the next positive feature. The thermal carafe allows the coffee to stay hot for hours. It has a seal tight lid which seals in the coffee, where it remains hot and doesn't evaporate. The lid, however, is a bit clumsy. It is difficult to clean (I throw it in the dishwasher), and sometimes a pain in the neck to screw on.
I am impatient in the morning and can't wait for the coffee to finish brewing before I have that first cup. The Krups allows you to pour yourself a cup before it finishes brewing. There is a little piece that closes up the drip slot when you remove the carafe. The only problem is, there are times when it doesn't work properly, and the coffee pours out, making quite a mess.
This coffeemaker can be set to brew coffee automatically at anytime. It comes with a programmable clock, so you can wake up to a nice hot cup of coffee in the morning. This is a real plus as it brews while you sleep so you don't have to worry about the glitch I mentioned above.
