Gets The Heart Pumping

I bought this for the kids, I'll be honest. But they cajoled me into taking off my socks and trying to beat them. I didn't...but I did find out my limits.

The pad that comes with this is pretty well made. It is slick, so do take off the socks! It registered most of our steps, but we noticed we kept moving "up" the pad as we went along. Takes some getting used to. Oh, be sure if you use two they are pretty far apart. Arms can, and will begin to flail!

The music, well some of it is lame. I won't lie about that. But some of it is recognizable. The kids wish that there was a way to load their own music into the program, or at least have it able to connect via the internet and download different song sets directly.

Thankfully the game includes a Training mode. It helps you find your footing by teaching you the steps needed to play the game. There are harder sets to dance to, and even a specific Workout mode. I think just about anyone could find something to try that they could understand and be on their activity level. Follow the pointers on the screen and step with them. Sounds easy...yeah...

I did find that my heart got pumping and I actually sat down for a bit. Now I am not the most active gal but it did offer a pleasant surprise. Just getting the kids off of their duffs and exercising is always a good thing in my book.

We did pick up an extra mat at the store. The face off wouldn't work too well if we didn't have them. It makes things a little more interesting and fun when you have a partner or a competitor, depends on how you look at it.

The product does what it is designed to do. It gets people who enjoy gaming off of their duffs and into the game physically. It burns calories and helps move those muscles. Maybe avoiding a little muscular atrophy along the way!
