Author's Review
This is my second kodak EasyShare, my first was a 3 megapixel when they first arrived on the scene and I managed to drop it on the floor and break the battery door hatch the very first week. I love it and I hate it, they do break very easily, I am sure you are supposed to be very gentle with the camera, but in real life its not practical. On the plus side it performs very well, I love the video it does a nice job. It rather bothers me that you have to buy a memory card to get any quantity of pictures or video but that is the case with any digital camera. without the memory card you only get about 25 pics, which still isn't bad.
I have used mine to video the kids and to take to metal shows my husband has played in, and other than the usual complaints about battery life being sucked out so quickly and the fact that they are so darned fragile, the quality of the pictures is pretty nice for the money and the overall ease of use is nice. I would like for the flash option to be a bit easier to work around, sometimes when taking pics inside the light is plenty bright enough but the flash still goes off, causing the pic to have total white out. Also it is definitely not great for close ups, and my kids blue eyes are a pain to edit out the red eye.I would recommend it for the price, its a good little camera, but it would be better for someone less clumsy!!
