Great pics but eats batteries!

We have had this camera for over two years and I take hundreds of pictures a month. The photographs are fabulous and always of great printing quality.

The mechanics of the camera pose a problem for new users. I like to have other people take pictures with my camera and it never fails that a new person has major difficulties figuring out how to see the display in the window. I always have to explain or go over and demonstrate how to take a picture. It should be a lot easier for a new user to figure out.

The camera goes through batteries like none I have ever seen. It has become the joke of my family that every time we are trying to take pictures at an event, my camera will run out of batteries. I always carry spare batteries for this reason.

I have had a few incidents where the camera has fallen and it actually has come apart on one fall but I was able to get the camera back together and it works just like it did in the beginning.

You can take video images with sound on this camera. So far, none of them have been too lengthy for the camera to handle.

The camera has many settings but I usually just stick with the automatic setting as it seems to work best. You can focus and zoom as well.

The camera is a bit bulky and heavy but I carry it in my purse in a camera case so it hasn't posed too much of a problem so far.

Overall this was a good purchase but we will eventually upgrade to a smaller camera.
