KitchenAid KTT340 Toaster - Just Toast

The Bottom Line: If you can find one that works that is a little less expensive, I would try it out before spending the $50.00 for the KitchenAid.
I had been on the search for the 'perfect' toaster for several months. I had bought and returned two different toasters before purchasing the KitchenAid.
I had been through the 'cheap' toasters that just didn't work and was in hopes the KitchenAid brand would do the trick.
This toaster is nice looking - I got it in black. It is very easy to use with large knobs and easy buttons to push for the Bagel feature.
It does work better than the $10 - $15 toasters I have tried in the past. I am not sure if it works $50.00 better.
I have noticed it does not always toast very even and you have to adjust the toasting 'level' higher than you would think - even if the bagel button is pushed.
The slots are nice and wide so there is no problem with fitting in bagels or larger items.
I have not had any problems with getting toast, bagels, etc... out as it does pop up high enough to take the items out without burning yourself or having to reach into the toaster slot area.
Overall it is an okay toaster that has been reliable. I am just not sure if it stands up to the $50.00 price range.
**Answers to Questions in comments: This is very easy to clean -no problem and it is cool to the touch - no melt downs!
