The
KitchenAid Ultra Power KSM90 Stand Mixer replaced our
KitchenAid Classic Series K45SS Stand Mixer. There wasn't a challenge with the K45SS, we had given it to a half-way home for use in their kitchen. The
KitchenAid Ultra Power KSM90 Stand Mixer arrives with the stand-mixer unit, 4-1/2 Quart Stainless Steel Bowl, Flat Beater, Dough Hook, Wire Whip and Shield. As listed above, there are multiple accessory options. A durable 300-Watt Motor provides all the in-home mixer power that I need and the 10-SpeedControl lever provides splendid variation.
This mixer allows me to continue making scrumptious chocolate-chip cookies during the phases in which symptoms of Fibromyalgia and/or MS attempt to detour me. I merely have to put the ingredients in, turn the lever to desired speed and the
KitchenAid Ultra Power KSM90 Stand Mixer combines all of the ingredients. Of course then I use my
Pampered Chef Scoop* to place unified mounds of dough onto my
Pampered Chef Stoneware. Oh the taste of gooey, fresh, warm chocolate chip cookies! Naturally we bake several other cookie selection, but the chocolate chip version is a family favorite.
During the time that I was experimenting with the recipes offered in the
Cake Mix Doctor book the
KitchenAid Ultra Power KSM90 Stand Mixer received increased use. From beating the eggs, to blending in each ingredient, the KSM90 performed remarkably. Oddly I don’t like lumps in mashed potatoes, so I adore the smooth mashed … er, whipped… potatoes that are achieved when using this mixer. My youngest adores cinnamon rolls but I can honestly say that I wouldn’t attempt making bread dough without a KitchenAid mixer. There are so many other food preparations that I utilize this mixer for but I think you catch the jest of the usage that the
KitchenAid Ultra Power KSM90 Stand Mixer receives in our home.
This mixer is simple to operate. You choose which attachment that you desire, tilt-up the head of the mixer, and then insert the attachment. The included manual will direct toward which Attachment is best for the job. This process is easy. The 4-1/2-quart stainless steel bowl needs to be positioned onto the base and you might choose to put the shield onto the bowl. Put the tilt-head down and be sure to put the safety lever to the locked position (this prevents the head from moving while blending). You add the ingredients and use the desired speed. With 10-Speeds the options are immense.
The 4-1/2 quart stainless steel bowl, Flat Beater, Dough Hook, Wire Whip and Shield are dishwasher safe (top rack is recommended for the shield). The
KitchenAid Ultra Power KSM90 Stand Mixer is easy to cleanse with a damp cloth.
Additional accessories are available with intended use on the power hub. The power hub is located on the front of the tilt-head, and is covered with a silver disc that comes off, allowing insertion and use of additional attachments. Options include: citrus juicer, food grinder, can opener, pasta maker (includes food grinder & pasta maker plates), grain mill, and a rotor slicer w/shredder (includes 4 cones | shred, fine shred, thick slice, thin slice). Prices for these units vary. Also you may opt to purchase accessories for the mentioned attachments. These include: pasta maker plates (for use w/ food grinder | included w/pasta maker), food tray (for use w/ food grinder), sausage stuffer kit (for use w/ food grinder), fruit - vegetable strainer parts (for use w/ food grinder), and a fruit/vegetable strainer & grinder (for use w/ food grinder).
We are very pleased with the
KitchenAid Ultra Power KSM90 Stand Mixer and strongly recommend it for in home use. The price might initially appear high to some, but it is worth every dollar spent. Certain friends have received and/or purchased less expensive mixers. These fail to accomplish desired tasks, smoke when attempting feats such as cookie dough, or break. I know that there are some high-end comparable mixers but in all honesty I can’t imagine owning any mixer besides a KitchenAid. In all honesty I feel every kitchen should have one.
