This is the worst dishwasher ever!
Save your money....it doesn't clean. You need to wash at least one thing by hand after every load. KitchenAid doesn't care that it doesn't work, either. They do nothing when you call.
Sometimes I rinse the dishes beforehand, that doesn't get everything clean. Sometimes I do not rinse before, thinking that will help, and that doesn't work either. There has even been food on the inside of the door after a full-run, high temp cleaning cycle. A kernal of corn even got hardened on the door. I am getting tired of cleaning dishes AFTER the dishwasher runs.
I called KitchenAid. They suggested running the sink water first to make sure it was hot. That did not help. I called them back again, and they sent out a service - from a company other than where we bought it.
The service guy was coming, and I found out that morning that we needed to go to a funeral. I had no number for the company, so I had my mom come over while we went to the funeral. The service guy was here under 15 minutes, told my mom nothing was wrong, and left me a "tip sheet" to use it: I should take the top rack (culinary rack) out when I use it. HELLO??? I bought it so I could use that!!!
Anyway, still no help and the dishes are still NOT CLEAN. So, I called the place where I cought it - again. They suggested running the high temp cycle. (which is more $ spenet every time we use it) That hasn't helped. They are coming out next week to look at it. KitchenAid hasn't bothered to care, at least the store that we bought it has cared!
This thing is the worst waste of money - I cannot believe I spent that much money on a dishwasher that doesn't even clcean the dishes. I clean them - hey, Kitchen Aid should pay me.
