This was the Range to Buy, After looking at all the rest - there was no comparison. The Stainless Steel, Style, and Functionality - just awesome. I just got this 2 weeks ago from Brandsmart. The Range works great.
However, For some strange reason, the Exhaust Vents on this Unit, and from what I find out, on all Kitchen Aid Front Panel products, are up front. I just can't understand, how these HIGHLY PAID, Highly Intellectual designers decided to vent hot exhaust and vapors from the front of the unit. WOW what a disappointment.
I had the tech come out and he tells me it is normal. So when you're cooking for hours around an already hot stove, you don't need more hot air blown right at you. The Bottom Vent Grille blows hot air right at your legs, the upper vent, spews not only hot air, but vapors, and smoke that is trapped in the stove. What a disappointment. You think these Highly paid designers would have some common sense to devise an exhaust for vapors and hot air from the rear of the unit, and not at the operator.
I plan on returning this unit, I feel so disappointed, I am think about getting an LG Model instead, how unfortunate.
