Great Gate

In searching at the local baby stores, my wife and I could never find a decent child safety gate. We needed one that would work at the top of the stairs and attach permanently. This gate is wonderful, its made of tubular steel, which gives it a solid feel, and allows it to stand up to abuse.

The gate was relatively easy to put up, but the instructions leave out some useful tips that would make it simpler. I found it easier to mount the hinge side first (as the manual recommends) and then hang the gate, before mounting the hardware for the latch. If you follow the directions and just do each, one after the other, you might discover that things don’t line up properly.
