Nice Height

I just bought this gate yesterday and put it up in my house last night. I bought it to use at the bottom of my stairs but it is too tall to use if you have a hand rail and did not really work with the banister without mounting it. I decided we would use it in a doorway where we needed a gate. It was not as easy to put up in the doorway as I thought it would be but once I figured out what I needed to do it made sense and was easier. I have noticed that it does not open as easily I would expect. It is tall which makes it nice for those of use who have tall children and you do not have to bend over very far to reach the latch. I do not think my son will outgrow this gate until we are about ready to take it down. The design is attractive and looks nice in the doorway. There are only vertical slats so there are not places for my son to place his feet and try to climb the gate as some gates have the criss cross design which makes it easy for babies who like to climb to find a way to get up and over the gate.
