Tequila is my absolute favorite spirit.. I like it straight, mixed, any way I can get it. I don't drink a lot, but when I do, this is it for me, if it is available. Like with other spirits I can an allergic reaction where I get very warm and red-faced. Not so with Cuervo Gold.
I like the taste very much. I can drink it straight with water, drink shooters, drink it in a margarita, and mixed with orange juice. There are probably a number of different drinks using tequila, but I don't know them.
Of course, tequila goes best with Mexican food, but I like it whenever I want a mixed drink. Occasionally, at a party, I will drink a shooter, but only one. It goes down very smooth.
When we were in Mexico, they mixed tequila with coca-cola, put their hand over the top and hit the shot glass on the table. When it fizzed, you shot it down. I don't know what they call it, but I can it a slammer.
Cuervo Gold is a little more expensive than the other Jose Cuervo tequila, but it is much smoother. I've had more expensive tequila but it doesn't seem to be as smooth or taste as good to me.
