Wrangler Sport Manual

I just bought my '99 Jeep Wrangler Sport two weeks ago at a Toyota/Volvo dealrership where I purchased my Volvos40. I liked the S40 but im glad I got the extended warranty on it. The retail value sucked and I was glad to get rid of it.
I was looking for a jeep and found one that they hadn't even put on the lot yet so I test drove it and gave them a list of the things I wanted fixed on it before I bought it. They fixed the on/off instument cluster, they had to replace the whole assembly. They also had to fix the cloth strap that keeps the doors from being opened too far. The rear winshield motor also was dead.
It took about a week and I took ownership of it, let me tell you after test driving a dozen different Jeeps, go for the full doors with the roll up windows!
With the hard top up it is reasonably quiet for a fiberglass top and no sound deadening material. Highly customisible to suit your needs. Definatly prefer the sraight six over the four cylender. The volvo was very faast and the six in my jeep is tourquey, but by no meens fast. That aside it is not built for speed. It handles well I have some thick 30 inch tires that keep the wobbeling to a minimun. I am completley satified with it. The Jeeps are monstors off road of course, being good since I am an avid angler in the Coloroado rockies. It is complient and obediant on road too. The main thing to remember is this is no Toyota Camry, You drive it, it provides no help. If you drive it respectivly and do the routine maintnaince it will last and provide adequate gas milage for a 4.0 litre (true) four wheel drive. Do not buy this if you want something cute! I hate when people buy these things and can't stand the wind noise or wonder why the short wheel base makes it jarring. Duh it's a Jeep people.
In any Case I highly recommend one.
