Author's Review
I bought my Jeep last year, it is my second one I have owned, first was an 89 YJ. Jeep really did their homework on the new TJ's. Better redesigned instrument cluster, coil springs give it such a better ride than the old leaf springs, the top drops in half the time as the old YJ's top did. I was very worried about the 2.5 with an auto at first, but I have not been disappointed in the least. If I wanted to put a snow plow on, I would be out of luck. Or if I wanted to tow alot, 2.5 tows up to 1000 lbs, 4.0 tows up to 2000 lbs. But I don't tow anything, so I was able to save about 3 grand or more on my 97. Plenty of room for two full size car seats in back, and my 1 year old falls asleep in back, just like he does in the mini-van, so that is pretty impressive in my mind. Overall, the Wrangler is not the most practical vehicle you can own, but it is by the far the most enjoyable vehicle I have ever owned. I told my wife, I'm not giving this one up!
